Based in the PNW,

I love to spread art and color

and to show others they can too.

I work with an array of media -

oil paints and pastels, watercolor, and acrylic,

and all that you'll find here

is what happens when you just relax

and make the decision to create.

I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. An inseperable part of my life, in second grade I began drawing portraits of my friends from their class photos. These early creations were driven by an innate passion for capturing the details of the people around me. There so much in a person’s face, in the way they hold themselves, and even the lines of a person tell so much about their life and experiences and in my art, I seek to convey authenticity - I want the story of that person to be seen and I want who they are to be felt – the emotions, the stories, and the experiences that shape us. It is why I love doing portraits.

So enraptured with portraits, it was only recently I decided to delve into landscapes, and I have found great fulfillment in creating the shadows and lighting of the earth and sky in the same ways I have always enjoyed creating it on the contours of the face. Being able to pull the colors of the light out, watching as brushstrokes transform into mountains and waves, the buildup of depth, to compose that all on a flat surface, a space that I can gaze into for miles, has brought me a whole new joy in my creations.

Truth, honesty, integrity to what I see and feel, are at the core of what I create and why I create. There is truly something magical that occurs when you just allow creation - just do and let the painting unravel. Have fun, and let go of expectations. Do it just for YOU.

Through my work, I hope to inspire you to embrace your own creativity and find strength and joy in self-expression. I invite you to explore my collection and find your own connection with the colors and scenes that speak to you. Let's celebrate the beauty of nature, the vibrancy of life, and the freedom to express our true selves. And hopefully you will also find yourself at one of my upcoming events - I'd love to be able to say hello in person!

Thank you for visiting, and I hope my art brings a touch of inspiration and joy to your day.
